Surfers Against Sewage’s 2025 Brand Audit exposes the UK’s worst plastic polluters using the country’s largest-ever citizen science clean-up dataset. Drawing on data collected by thousands of volunteers during Million Mile Cleans across beaches, rivers, parks and streets, the report reveals that just 12 major household brands were responsible for more than half of all branded plastic pollution found in the UK.
