Funding of SAS

SAS generates income to support ongoing environmental initiatives, community events and campaigns through membership subscriptions, individual and corporate donations, grant making bodies, profits from the sale of merchandise, supporter fundraising events and project sponsorship.

Our work is funded by:

  • The generous support of our members (through regular and one off gifts)
  • Trusts & Foundations
  • Our corporate partners
  • The sale of our merchandise
  • Our annual raffle
  • Individuals doing fun things to fundraise in their communities

We can only carry on our work with the generous support from all these people and organisations, so thank you.

We’re an environmental charity and so we don’t take money from anyone who could compromise our stance on environmental issues. We have a corporate engagement policy that is overseen by our Board of Trustees who have the final decision on who we will and won’t take money from.

We value every penny that is donated towards our work, for this reason we always ensure that our costs are kept to a minimum. We seek 3 quotes from different suppliers for every purchase we make to ensure we get the best value for money possible.

How we spend the money donated to our work
