I’m Alex. I’ve lived in Suffolk all my life so the sea and rivers have been (and still are) a huge influence in my life and I like to spend as much time as possible on, or in, the water.
In 2015 I was lucky enough to do my school work experience at SAS and since then the team have supported me through my Silver Duke of Edinburgh award, where for 6 months I helped promote both the marine litter campaign and Return to Offender. I am currently doing my Gold award and again SAS are supporting my new, year-long fundraising challenge “Source to the Sea” where I am attempting to kayak or paddleboard the 3 main rivers in Suffolk, picking up and logging litter as I go.
