Run 47 Miles In Feb

Run 47 miles over the month of February to help fight the sewage crisis

Want to start the year feeling amazing? We’ve got the perfect challenge to get your heart racing and legs moving, all for a cause you care about. 🌊

Run, walk or jog 47 miles this February and raise vital funds to power our campaigning and protect the waters we love. Why? Because 4.7 million hours of sewage was dumped into UK waters in 2024. And our figures show this isn’t slowing down.

With 2026 shaping up as a pivotal year in the fight to end sewage pollution, we need a groundswell of people power to push for real reform.  So let’s get outside, get moving, and feel the energy of taking action. Every mile makes a difference. 🏃

Why run 47 miles in Feb?

The number 47 represents the 4.7 million hours of sewage dumped into UK waters in 2024. Meanwhile, the water companies responsible paid shareholders £1.2 billion the same year. All while water bills are rising, targets are missed and public trust is plummeting. Enough is enough. By taking on 47 miles together, we’re standing up to the profiteering polluters and helping drive REAL system change. ✊

How you'll make an impact

Your fundraising drives real change for our rivers, seas, and communities. Here's how:

💧 Fix the broken water system
Support campaigns, petitions, and protests that pressure government and regulators to hold water companies accountable and put people and planet before profit.

🌊 Protect wild waters across the UK
Only 14% of rivers in England are ecologically healthy. Your support powers citizen science and community action to expose pollution and push for stronger legal protections—helping us reach 200 designated Bathing Water sites by 2030.

📱 Keep water users safe with sewage alerts
Our Safer Seas & Rivers app warns users about sewage pollution, helps report illness, and makes it easy to contact MPs. Your fundraising keeps this vital public health tool free and accessible.
