Can I fundraise for you?

Absoutely! We’re delighted that you want to want to fundraise for us! From marathons to cake competitions to silly sports days, your options are endless.

Once you’ve got a fundraising idea, register your event and we will be in touch to make sure you have everything you need.


Can I enter an organised event and take place in aid of SAS?

Yes! Before you sign up to an event, head over to our Fundraising Calendar to find out if we already have charity places in the event you’re interested in. If we don’t, then once you have signed up email us and we will send you out a technical tee for your event and talk you through setting up your online fundraising page.

Will I be able to use your logo on my promotional materials?

You can definitely use our logo to promote the amazing fundraising event you’re doing in aid of SAS. We will need to know that you’re using it, so contact us and we will send you our logo in the correct format. On any printed materials, it will need to be made very clear that you are fundraising ‘in aid of Surfers Against Sewage’.

You may also need our charity number which is Registered Charity in England & Wales No. 1145877.

How do I get my event promoted on your social media?

Sadly, we aren’t able to promote all events before they’ve happened (this is done on a case by case basis) but we do use our social media platforms to celebrate fundraising successes.

And don’t forget, spreading the word about your fundraising is much more successful when it comes from you!

What resources can you supply me with?

We have stock of collection boxes for you to collect donations, technical sport’s tee’s and fundraising tee’s and information leaflets which we can send you to support your event. Contact us with your address and plans and we will make sure you have what you need for your event.

Questions about collecting and paying in money

What is the best way to collect money and donations?

This varies depending on the event you’re doing. If you’re taking part in a challenge event, then the best way to collect donations is to set up an online fundraising page with Just Giving. Once you have set your page up, then Just Giving handle the rest! All you need to do is let everyone know what you’re up to and share the link. 

You may need a collection box if you have organised an event that people can attend, such as a quiz, bake sale etc and we can provide you with one.

How do I pay my money in?

We have a variety of methods that you can choose from to pay in your fundraising money. We accept donations by cheque, over the phone card payments, BACS or online.

Will you let me know that my money has reached you?

Of course – as long as we have a form of contact for you, then we will send you a thank you and/or receipt if required.

Can you provide me with a letter of authorisation to collect money?

Of course – we know that these are needed to carry out a street collection or other events – email with your name, address and a information about what you’re doing to fundraise so we can send you the letter out.
