Born and raised in California, I gained an appreciation for nature from an early age. Any and all free time was filled with outdoor adventures, from exploring the rockpools of Monterey Bay and surfing on the weekends in Santa Cruz to walking amongst giant sequoia trees and hiking in Yosemite National Park. My upbringing exposed me to the boundless beauty of nature as well as to the extreme fragility of my surrounding environment, and more than anything, it instilled in me a deep connection with nature and a desire to protect it.
In 2018, I came to the UK for my masters in International Development, specialising in the subjects of Social Justice & Sustainability at the University of Bath. After spending time in Bath, Bristol and London I was beckoned to Cornwall, both by the sea and by the opportunity to join SAS as Fundraising Administrator in April 2021.
I am so proud to be a part of team SAS at this critical moment for environmental action. I’m excited to have the opportunity to grow our membership programme and to engage with our supporters about SAS’ ongoing campaigns and projects to protect the environment.
Nowadays, you’ll find me exploring my new surroundings – wandering along the coastal path, taking cold dips in the sea and forever trying to catch a wave!
