I grew up in a in a city in South Wales spending my teenage years bodyboarding, always with a dream to live by the sea which led me to studying a degree in Ocean Science at the University of Plymouth. After graduating and convincing my now husband that Cornwall was the place to be, 16 years later we are still loving our Cornish life.
I have 10 years’ experience working with community in various roles, including community-led regeneration and sport development. SAS’s grassroots approach is what attracted me to the role of Community Water Quality Officer. I am thrilled that I have the privilege to work with passionate communities in an area of work that I feel equally as passionate about.
Swimming is how I connect with the sea these days, from winter dips to long distance swims to tracking down tidal pools. I usually have a swim challenge that I am working towards.
