Josh Harris
Head of Communications
I’m Penzance born and bred and after a ten-year hiatus in London I’m stoked to be living back by the sea in West Cornwall, this time in Hayle (which, in a happy coincidence, shaves a few more minutes off my trips to the waves…).
Being back by the coast has been as reinvigorating as a duck-dive in the depths of winter and has reaffirmed my passion for the ocean. We are all part of nature and we must protect and preserve the natural world (and enjoy it, where we can!).
Despite pining for fresh sea air when in London, my time living there was well spent, as it helped me develop the skills and experience which led to my current role at SAS. My working life in London included roles working in parliament, at a trade association and as campaigns director for the UK’s leading road safety charity.
Communication is key for any organisation but even more so for campaigners, like us, here at SAS, and so I feel privileged to be heading up the comms function for such an incredible organisation. I’ll be working hard with colleagues and friends across the charity to improve and evolve our comms and, most importantly of all, increase our impact.
Feel free to get in touch on anything comms related, I’m at [email protected].
Love the planet and I’ll see you in the water.
