Daisy Taylor
Projects Officer
Growing up exploring different beaches, going on sunset boat rides and kayaking through coastal estuaries grew my passion for learning about and conserving the marine environment. My love for the marine environment led me to study MSci Marine Biology at Bangor University, where I was lucky enough to conduct research in a community led blue carbon project (Mikoko Pamoja). This gave me a real insight into the success community involved projects can have, motivating me to join SAS as a Projects Officer!
My role involves delivering project work as part of the Campaigns & Policy Team. I work on projects across all our main campaign themes including liaising with our citizen scientists to undertake projects exploring water quality around the UK and the emergence of plastic as a pollutant, as well as the day to day running of the Safer Seas & Rivers Service.
Being new to Cornwall I will be spending most of my time exploring this beautiful coastline and, when sunny enough, spending my days on the beach!
