Ben Suffell

Ben Suffell

Ben is currently the Managing Director of QTS www.qtsfundraising.co.uk and a founding member of the Olive Network www.olivenetwork.org.  QTS is a telephone fundraising agency based in Cornwall which works exclusively with the charity sector providing a donor-centric service.  The Olive Network is a fledgling online community, designed to engage people across the globe and to curate humanitarianism by encouraging charities, NGO’s and individuals to collaborate.

A highly experienced fundraiser, 10 plus years’ experience, Ben has worked with hundreds of charities of all shapes and sizes including those with a global presence and household names. Ben has a particular interest in working with charities with an environmental focus.

Ben’s experience means he is a trusted adviser to the clients he works with, supporting them to develop their long-term fundraising strategies across the telephone, mail and supporter journey.  Ben has a track record of working with clients successfully to: improve retention rates; gain new supporters; increase the average value of financially active supporters; improve the supporter journey; review and developing product profiles; widen prospecting activities;  increase conversion;  and broaden recruitment channels and offers.

Over the past 18 months he has also been instrumental in supporting clients to develop a contact plan for obtaining opt-in consent to contact and for working with clients through what has been a tumultuous fundraising climate. Ben is currently working closely with the PFRA/IoF in working towards a cohesive fundraising approach regarding call monitoring processes, which if successful, may be rolled out across the industry.

Ben is also an NLP practitioner and a keen photographer, who has held a photographic exhibition for ActionAid UK.  Outside of work, Ben’s passions are his family (he has 3 young children), the ocean, surfing, sailing, training and yoga.
