I have always loved the ocean and have been fascinated by marine life since I first snorkeled at the age of 6.
At university I studied marine biology and became increasingly interested in the impact humans have on the marine environment. Since then I have been working with sea turtles on a conservation project with Archelon in Greece. While working on the beaches I was surprised by the amount of plastic there and the impact this has on the marine life. This really inspired me to do more to spread the word about plastic pollution.
My experience working in the field has also taught me the importance of education and awareness in conservation. Working with SAS is a perfect opportunity for me to work with people and raise awareness of local and global marine conservation issues.
