Conservationist and adventurer Jacques Cousteau said it best: ‘The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever’. I grew up on the Moray Firth coast and love this part of the Scottish coastline. It was not until I moved away for a number of years that I realised how lucky I was to grow up here and how connected I feel to the area. These days I love exploring the area whilst foraging and freediving.
After experiencing the ill effect of polluted water I became very aware of the danger our ocean eco-system is in and have wanted to do my bit in helping to stop the destruction ever since. I hope I can play a part in protecting both my local marine environment and the wider environment through grassroots work with SAS.
