Sian Elliott
Belfast - Northern Ireland Rep
I am fortunate to say I have grown up on the beautiful North Coast of Ireland, I spent my childhood in the water in love with its marine life and beauty, with my summers consisting of surfing, wake-boarding, sailing and kayaking.
I currently study Engineering at University, with my final year project being in renewable energy in Northern Ireland. I hope to go further in this field to promote a progressive change and a more sustainable outlook in the Engineering Industry.
I have always been aware of plastic pollution, however as the years went on, the more present it became.
Me and my family regularly would bring a bin bag with us when going for walks, which unfortunately would fill up a lot quicker than you would like to expect.
This has inspired me to take action and I am so excited to be a SAS Regional Rep for Northern Ireland, I hope to educate and inspire others to help protect our beautiful coastlines, protect its amazing wildlife and encourage a sense of responsibility for our surroundings.
