I grew up in the West Midlands, which is pretty much as far away from the sea as you can get in England. However the best time of the year was always my family holiday to Cornwall, where I could swim, bodyboard and play on the gorgeous Cornish beaches.
My love for the sea and marine conservation grew as I got older, leading me to study Conservation Biology and Ecology at the University of Exeter’s Cornwall campus. After a few years of travelling and working for various conservation charities, I’ve decided to move back to Cornwall where I can enjoy the sea daily and focus on marine conservation.
I’m particularly passionate about protecting marine animals and cleaning up our plastic pollution, which is causing such a detrimental impact on marine life and spoiling our coastlines. I’m extremely excited to join the Surfers Against Sewage community and help to protect the oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife together.
