I’ve been an enthusiastic surfer since I was very little, my parents have always encouraged a love of the ocean and taught me to enjoy all manner of water-sports. When asked what I wanted to be when I was younger, my reply would always be “a mermaid’.
In my time living in Central America I became very aware of how fragile our marine ecosystems are, this drove me to want to undertake a degree in Physical Geography. Through this I have learnt the importance of marine conservation and how ocean processes work.
I now live in the South East along the Kent coastline. Although we have little surf, our water is in serious need of some TLC and I can’t wait to educate and engage others in the community about the little things we can do to protect our ocean!
