Hello, I’m Imy and I am a water-sports enthusiast! I am a keen paddle boarder, wakeboarder and surfer from Plymouth in South Devon. I am currently studying a three year Business BSC Degree at the University of Exeter in Cornwall and have aims to innovate in the renewable energy sector.
Fortunately for me, my life revolves around the sea, having been raised on the beautiful South Hams coastline, I can appreciate our British coastline’s true beauty. However, over the years I have certainly noticed an increase in plastic pollution on our beaches and in our glorious water. Having to rescue seagulls from entanglements with single use plastic has unfortunately become a regular occurrence.
I am now more motivated than ever to spread awareness of the great work surfers against Sewage does everyday and how we as individuals in our local areas can reduce plastic pollution in order to restore our outstanding coast and protect our ecosystems on a local and national scale.
