I am very fortunate to have grown up by the sea with my walk to school along the beach front! Through growing up going on holiday to the West Coast and Hebrides, sea kayaking trips with my family to now being a keen surfer, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the sea, it’s amazing wildlife and changeability. It’s heartbreaking to see this amazing ecosystem struggle because of our lifestyles and I’m passionate about changing this.
I’m recently back from a year in New Zealand where I was lucky enough to live by the sea, surf lots and study coastal geomorphology.
Now I am in my 4th year back at the University of Glasgow, and I am very excited to be working with SAS to organise beach cleans and encourage a plastic free life in both the urban and the beach setting!
