Claire Sargent
Portrush - Northern Ireland Rep
I feel extremely lucky to have grown up so close to the ocean, it is my playground and place that makes me feel free and happy. I am a qualified teacher and feel it is extremely important to educate the younger generation on how we can help our planet to instill within them a passion to help conserve marine life and keep our oceans free from litter and sewage and much more. As a surfer and surf instructor (weekends and summers) I spend a lot time in the ocean and it is from this that I cannot stand by and have our oceans be ruined for future generations. As a SAS Rep I wish to work with the local community and schools on the North Coast to educate and inspire children to want to help protect marine life and the ocean. To create a community ethos in order to achieve one big conservation project.
