I’ve lived in Aberystwyth for 7 years after moving from Plymouth to start University. I’m passionate about protecting, enhancing and connecting people with the natural environment and the ocean in particular, and in 2018 finished an MSc in Sustainability and Adaptation where I explored connection to nature, happiness, kindness and environmental behaviour.
I live right on the seafront here in Aberystwyth and try to swim in the sea most days! I love adventure and exploring and recently completed a “Pedal Against Plastic” cycle around the coast of Wales to raise awareness of ocean plastics. When I’m not running the Plastic Free Aberystwyth group or doing beach cleans, I help coordinate the not-for-profit Aber Food Surplus where we collect food waste and cook up tasty surplus meals!
