Ben Rogers
Arlingham, River Severn - South West Rep
Artisan by trade and, while surrounding myself in nature and water as much as possible, I work in film, TV, animation and shaping surfboards.
I grew up in Cornwall falling in love with all it had to offer. Studying on the coast in Bournemouth instilled a deeper connection to the sea. I discovered the Severn after moving to Bristol; an unbreakable bond was formed!
You’re home turf is where you can have the biggest impact so that’s why I became a SAS rep. The Severn may be vast but it’s extremely delicate, it is always under threat by one thing or another. I’ve organised a number of Severn “beach” cleans and you may have even heard about me in the national press rescuing a porpoise! I’m now a trained member of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
Doing your bit no matter how small makes a difference, if you can help others do theirs then that’s better and bigger!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re in the Severn area with any concerns, issues, questions or want to take action!
