SAS are recruiting for face to face fundraisers this summer!
We’re looking for an inspiring and outgoing team of four to encourage people to support Surfers Against Sewage this summer.
The main focus of your role will be to represent SAS at the beach and at summer events and festivals in Cornwall. You will be engaging members of the public with SAS campaigns and crucially encouraging people to sign up and donate a regular monthly amount to support our environmental charity. By talking to as many people as you can about the importance of the protection of our oceans, waves and beaches, you will play a vital part of the fundraising team in securing valuable funds to ensure we can continue our community action, campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research.
You will be based out and about around Cornwall, travelling to some of our most popular and beautiful beaches. You will also be attending a few festivals and events in Cornwall with one or two further afield.

Job Title: Face to Face Fundraiser
Job purpose: To recruit new members to support Surfers Against Sewage with a regular monthly donation
Reports to: Membership Manager
Salary: Guaranteed competitive hourly rate + commission (reasonable travel expenses paid)
Hours: 3-5 days a week. Regular hours will be 10am to 5pm with 1 hour break for lunch. There will be the need to work outside of these hours at evenings & weekends as required by the role.
Contract: 10 weeks
Probationary period: 2 weeks
Location: You will be based outside at beaches and events mostly in Cornwall.
