Can You Guess The Judges?

Professional surfer and scientist Dr Cliff Kapono is one of the 11 judges

The Plastic Free Awards are back for a second year to celebrate environmental champions across the UK. The awards will recognise people from all walks of life including young campaigners, community leaders, small businesses, charities, designers, entrepreneurs, sports clubs and schools, with a shared mission to stop plastic pollution. Do you know someone going above and beyond to reduce our reliance on plastic? Nominate your plastic-free heroes here!

We are excited to announce that the judges for the Plastic Free Awards 2021 are now confirmed. The 11-person judging panel includes BBC Wildlife presenter and biologist Gillian Burke, award-winning TV presenter Liz Bonnin, as well as professional surfer and scientist Dr Cliff Kapono. Bringing knowledge and experience from a wide range of sectors, they all share a passion to protect the environment from plastic pollution.

The judges will be reviewing nominations across 12 award categories which span various areas of plastic-free living and leadership. They will be looking for originality, impact, scalability, social and community benefit, alongside other criteria to shortlist nominations before choosing the overall winners. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to join us and the judges for an incredible awards ceremony in June at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
