The threat of coastal developments, restricted access and pollution destroying or degrading UK surfing habitats and heritage has been a growing concern to surfing communities nationwide in recent years, with an alarming number of popular waves coming under fire. Surfers Against Sewage’s Protect Our Waves campaign has been at the forefront of exposing these issues and co-ordinating well planned and successful community responses.

Our experienced team provide expertise on the planning process, a wealth of campaign experience and the essential scientific, economic, statistical and engineering information to strengthen grassroots efforts at the frontline. This approach delivers positive outcomes for waves, wildlife and the wider coastal environment, alongside protecting important surfing communities and economies.
