Surfers Against Sewage from Robin Bushell on Vimeo.
We released Protect Our Waves with The Surfer’s Path at the end of February, reaching over 30,000 readers directly with our campaign message covering traditional and new SAS themes. The release was timed with a national tour, run in association with The Surf Screen, which hit cities and coastal towns from Edinburgh and Tynemouth to Bournemouth and Brighton. We launched the tour with a special premiere screening at the newly refurbished Miners & Mechanics Institute in St Agnes, the home of SAS, where the Director Richard Stewart and some of the cast including Trev Garland, Candice O’Donnell and Jack Johns joined us.
As those of you who have already seen it will know, the film is quite a departure from previous SAS productions, and presents the campaigns in a whole new way. We’ve had a fantastic reaction to the production; with many a new member inspired to join and lapsed members reengaging with our campaigns.
