Claire Longman – Finance Assistant

I have been a member of SAS for years, I grew up in Cornwall but had been away from the sea for about 15 years through University and work so I was really excited to be able to come back to Cornwall in 2009 and, even better, able to get a job working at SAS in 2010. My role involves processing membership orders, direct debit administration and general office and finance administration. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to work with such a great team fighting such an important cause.

 

I’m afraid to say that, although Cornish through-and-through, I can’t really call myself a ‘surfer’ although I do give it a go whenever I get the opportunity! However, SAS is not just for surfers, it is for everyone who wants to see our waters and beaches clean and safe. I now have 2 beautiful daughters who are fortunate enough to be growing up by the sea and I want them to be safe and enjoy the beaches and the water for years to come too.
