I have been surfing in Norfolk since 1996, and set up the first predictive surfing site for Cromer/East Runton four years later when I was 15. A friend and I also ran a local campaign to raise signatures for funding from the local council for a surf webcam. Unfortunately they didn’t take two 15 year olds seriously enough!
After leaving school, I did an art foundation course and then completed a BA Honours course in Graphic Design at Falmouth University in Cornwall and I’m currently raising money for an MA in film at Bournemouth.
I have been drinking the brown waters of the Norfolk East coast most of my life and am really keen to keep ongoing improvements the SAS have been achieving around the UK. I don’t care much for people using the sea as a dumping ground for their rubbish! I love cooking using local sea produce; I’d rather be ill from eating a rotten mussel than human waste. I have sailed around the North East coast since I was three and have been witness to the change brought about from the human impact on the coastline, also started my surf ‘career’ in Cromer from the age of ten— luckily missed out on the various eye infections the older boys got from a sewage pipe that ran out there and was removed a few years before I started.
