I surfed professionally for 3 years during which time I won 2 European Longboards Titles, 2 British Titles and numerous Welsh Titles. I still compete in all of the events on the British and European tour alongside my studies. In my final year of  university I studied environmental law module and I have a real desire to put my degree to good use as a surfer who cares about the protection and conservation of our most precious resource, the ocean.

Obviously one of the major problems that all surfers have to deal with on a daily basis is marine litter. It is a shame to go to some of the most out of the way surf spots in the country only to be greeted by a large pile of plastic waste. Also, during my time as an SAS Rep, I have developed a keen interest in SAS’ Protect Our Waves campaign, which has highlighted the need for a vocal body to advocate British surfers’ concerns. With a limited amount of surf in the UK even when all of the elements come together, to lose some of our best waves would be a travesty.
