I’ve been a surfer and surfed the murky brown waters of the North East for the last 15 years. I’ve worked for several years in the surf industry, I’ve travelled the world extensively on my own search for the perfect wave, to find I can have as much fun in the murky brown North Sea. I’m currently a freelance graphic designer, working with brands such as O’Neill, Carhartt, Nationwide, Clarks and Häagen-Dazs amongst others. I’m currently working on a film project about the North Sea.
I remember exiting the water aged about 16 covered in small black spots which turned out to be oil… I guess thats when I first became interested in clean water. More recently I’ve experienced first hand sickness from surfing one of the North East’s best and notoriously filthy reefbreaks. Floating poo is not something that should be experienced by anybody, pollution shouldn’t be tolerated.
