One of the best things about working for TYF Adventure is the opportunity to meet some great people and being able to do stuff in the local community to make change for good. I played a big part in helping to raise north of £1000 for SAS through screenings of One Track Mind, The Age of Stupid, and The Present in local community halls and more recently selling 800 tickets for the SAS Green Raffle. At work I give ‘stump speeches’ every few days and shout about 1% FTP, SAS and what it means to be the first carbon neutral adventure company in the world and more.
Before I could walk I learnt from my parents to be passionate about our environment -my siblings and I were regularly covered in salt and sand and very often still are. In Pembrokeshire we are lucky enough to have some of the cleanest beaches and waters in Europe and I am determined to do all I can to ensure they stay this way by educating and helping people to understand how to live sustainably and how to protect the coast and what’s around us.
