SAS productions in collaboration with Flipsidebeatz bring you their second night of live hip-hop featuring DJ Vadim and the Russian Percussion to the Koola bar in Newquay on the opening day of the Rip Curl Boardmasters Surf festival on the 26th of July.

Tim Judge from Flipsidebeatz (co-promoters) said:
'2003 has been a groundbreaking year for the Hip-Hop scene in Cornwall. At a time where UK Hip-Hop has been snubbed by radio and major record companies, we have seen more of the cream of home grown talent than ever before. Usual suspects Rodney P & Skitz, Fingathing and the Scratch Perverts have been joined by such underground hero's asTaskforce, Phi Life Cypher, MK, Aspects and DJ Yoda. The highlight of this amazing year is undoubtedly Ninjatunes
finest live act: DJ Vadim & The Russian Percussion at the Koola on 26th July. This is a groundbreaking event for the Cornish scene, proving that even Cornwall can attract the best the world has to offer. It is the first time such a critically acclaimed and high profile Hip Hop act has come to
Cornwall and it will be a night that will surely go down in clubling folklore'.

SAS' role as the solution-based voice of the water user has never been more important. Campaigning for a change in the laws that govern the cleanliness of our ocean, pushing for a better protection of our coastline from accidental and chronic pollution, encouraging legislators to ensure that the polluter pays for environmental crimes and ensuring that the water user is heard in the offshore renewable energy debate.

Showcasing events like this not only bring the best underground music the UK has to offer to the South West, but also raise vital funds for the campaign.
