SAS Longlife Exhibition news

The Longlife longboard auction raised a massive £77,000 for Surfers Against Sewage with the two boards artworked by Damien Hirst fetching a total of £59,000.

The Longlife exhibition was the brainchild of Oxbow - UK. The company will be donating the funds raised from the auction of the 10 boards to SAS. As SAS is a not for profit organisation every penny of the funds raised will be ploughed into running the SAS campaign.

This is the largest single donation SAS has ever received, Oxbow will become an official diamond sponsor of Surfers Against Sewage.

A big thanks goes to all the artists who donated their creative talents for free, for Chops at Beach Beat surfboards who shaped the boards and finally to Oxbow, who have demonstrated their commitment to clean seas through supporting SAS.

Now it's up to SAS to turn the funds into hard-hitting, effective campaigns that deliver for the environment!
