The Cornish & Open is the UK's longest running surf contest and has truly represented the roots of British surfing over the last 30 years attracting the finest surfing talent the UK has to offer. This kudos event has also pulled top international stars in previous years such as years 2 time world surfing champ and current World Masters champ- Wayne "Rabbit" Bartholomew, current world top 44 surfers Mick Cambel and Toby Martin, and most recently Surfing legend Nat Young.

With one of the biggest prize purses the UK surf scene has to offer - courtesy of title sponsors Rip Curl who have supported this event over the last 5 years - this year's Cornish & Open is not one to miss. Co-sponsors for 2003 will be Guinness giving SAS the chance once again to offer a total prize purse of over £2,000 plus loads of fantastic prizes!!

Entertainment on the beach for all the family will include beach art, face painting, bouncycastle, puppet shows and for Mum's and Dad's the "Blue Bar" will be on hand serving liquid refreshments and delicious food.

Top music will be provided by local DJ's all weekend plus the Blue Bar will host the SAS evening fund raisers which will include 'live' music and a chance to win a one-off 'Guinness/Blue Bar' Surfboard in the SAS rafffle.
