Food for Thought

SAS celebrated World Oceans Day on 8 June 2007 by teaming up with restaurants around Cornwall for the 'Food for Thought' fundraiser.

The idea was simple: between 1st and 8th June 2007 the participating restaurants asked it's customers to add a £1 donation to their final bill in aid of SAS. And the result - three restaurants helped to raise over £400!

The Food for Thought fundraiser was just one of many events organised throughout the UK to mark World Oceans Day which is a day set aside to do something amazing for our seas, shores and marine life. SAS would like to thank all the participating restaurants and their customers who did something amazing for SAS.

• Sands Brasserie and Bar, Headland Hotel, Newquay raised £89.14
• Alba Restaurant, St Ives raised £220.00
• Revival, Charlestown raised £103.58
