Delabole Wind Fair 2006

Delabole Wind FairIt's that time again when Delabole Windfarm open its doors and welcomes everyone to get up close and personal with a Wind Turbine!

This year promises to be bigger and better than last year when 500 came to the event.

At this year's Wind Fair we are inviting experts from across the South West to give advice on microgeneration - solar panels, mini wind turbines and micro-hydro power. Visitors will be able to stand at the feet of full-size turbines and have their questions answered about the Windfarm's productivity, the technology and how renewable energy is essential in the fight against Climate Change and to provide secure energy for tomorrow.

"There is a serious message to the day but we want people to have fun too. We're aiming to have plenty of local, organic food and drink for sale, loads of activities for kids and we've got some great bands that will play into the evening when we plan to illuminate the turbines in the Cornish, night sky. So, come for the renewables and stay for the festivities!" - Juliet Davenport, Good Energy CEO
