Cornish and Open - Back in 2009

Sadly we've been unable to secure the title sponsorship we need to run this year's SAS Cornish and Open surf contest at Porthtowan.

Unfortunately the original sponsor we had lined up has just stepped down citing the credit crunch for their marketing cut-backs. We've looked for alternative sponsorship but without success and with only a few weeks running till the contest was scheduled we have no alternative but to cancel. Without securing outside funding it would be our campaign budget that takes a knock and we have to focus on this first and foremost.

However we will be back in 2009 with a surf comp that raises the bar in green, sustainable surf comps and that on an event we already consider to be the best in Europe for preserving the environment.
