May 15 th & 16th

Saltburn by Sea is hosting a contest to benefit Surfers Against Sewage. It will be held on the weekend of the 15 th & 16 th of May.

Divisions will include; Open, Juniors, Seniors, Longboard, Ladies, Cadets and a special Tag Team event, Northerners V's Southerners. As well as all this, there will be a fundraiser/party on Saturday night in Saltburn at McQuays with a couple of hot new DVDs, bands and plenty of partying. The North East has a good level of surfing, the Saltburn contest is one of the best contests in the area. The North V's South Tag Team has got everyone amped about the contest and the chance to surf against some of the best surfers in the UK. The format is simple, you and 3 other surfers from North or South of the Watford gap, get yourselves to Saltburn and trash the opposition.

Spring is usually a great season for surf in the North East and with the predominant offshore winds we are all hoping for a great contest. Whatever the conditions it should be a really fun contest, hope to see you there!
