Have you got what it takes to become the Cornish & Open surfing champ 2004?

If you think you can cut it at against some of the UK and world's best surfers or you just want to come and soak up the beach atmosphere and lifestyle, then come on down to Porthtowan Beach on the 13 th – 15 th August.

The Cornish & Open is the UK's longest running surf contest and has truly represented the roots of British surfing over the last 30 years attracting the finest surfing talent the UK has to offer.

This kudos event has also pulled top international stars in previous years.

With one of the biggest prize purses the UK surf scene has to offer - courtesy of title sponsors Rip Curl who have supported this event over the last 5 years and will continue to do so for at least the next 3 years - this year's Cornish & Open is looking to be the best yet. Co-sponsors for 2004 will be Blue Bar giving SAS the chance once again to offer a total prize purse of over £2,000 plus loads of fantastic prizes!! The event will also be supported by Britain’s most read surfing mag ‘Carve’.

Entertainment on the beach for all the family will include beach art, face painting, puppet shows and for Mum's and Dad's the "Blue Bar" will be on hand serving liquid refreshments and delicious food.

Co Sponsors the Blue Bar will also be hosting the Official Contest Party as an SAS evening fund raiser on Saturday 14 th August with 'live' music from Brighton based Lucky Jim plus special guests.
