We found 55 Mountain Dew bottles strewn on the beach during the Boardmasters festival this year. Motivocean Trash Mob for International Surfing Day

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) has been selected as the official UK environmental partner for International Surfing Day (ISD) 2011. On Sunday, June 19, thousands of people will celebrate International Surfing Day all around the world. Surfers Against Sewage Inspire Youth Volunteers to Take Environmental Action in Cornwall

Clean water campaigners Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) are joining forces with youth volunteers from the Mullion Community Centre, as part of the UK-wide ‘25th Hour’ social-legacy campaign to inspire more people to volunteer their time towards good causes and fight marine litter. SAS will again be hosting a stand at the Relentless Boardmasters in Newquay, between 4th – 8th August. We’ll be signing up newcomers to the campaign, distributing information about all our projects and generally flying the SAS banner at the biggest surf contest in the UK. Our presence there is very helpful in influencing new individuals who might not otherwise get to hear about our ongoing campaigns.
