North Devon Beach Clean Series Success!

Over 220 volunteers turn out to protect North Devon beaches with SAS & The Crown Estate

SAS & The Crown Estate were delighted to welcome over 220 beach clean volunteers to the North Devon Beach Clean Series, who together removed over 650kgs of marine litter from this amazing stretch of the UK's coastline. North Devon Beach Clean Series Kicks Off In Style

Woolacombe and Saunton Beach Lovers Turn Out In Force SAS's excellent Autumn continued on the weekend of the 12th & 13th of November at beautiful Woolacombe and Saunton Beaches. Over 150 volunteers  joined us in glorious sunshine and helped to remove almost half a tonne of marine litter from this amazing stretch of coastline. Woolacombe: Beautiful weather and perfect waves provided the prefect backdrop for the first of our Autumn Beach Clean series in collaboration with the Crown Estate. SAS Volunteers Remove Tonnes of Rubbish from UK Beaches

Surfing communities all over UK mobilised for Surfers Against Sewage’s biggest ever Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Tour. This summer saw over a thousand volunteers take part in Surfers Against Sewage’s annual Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project, leaving beaches all around the UK cleaner and safer. The response to SAS’s Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project was truly staggering as SAS members, surfing communities and the wider public came together for beach cleans across the country to tackle the growing tide of trash. Become an environmental ACTIVIST with SAS this summer!

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) will be recruiting & educating new environmental ACTIVISTS at the UK’s biggest surf contest this summer. The Relentless Boardmasters takes place from 10th – 14th August at Fistral Beach, Newquay, and always draws huge crowds who come to see the best surfers in the world battle it out at Cornwall’s premier surf spot. Cornish Barefoot Beach Cleans A Huge Success

Beach Lovers in Cornwall Set The Bar High For Scottish Beach Lovers! 2 beautiful Cornish beaches, over 300 amazing volunteers, more than half a tonne of marine litter swept from our coastline and a storming sunsoaked set from Ben Howard! The weekend of the 25th and 26th of June, at Widemouth Bay and Porthtowan, saw SAS's Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project reach a new level. Motivocean Trash Mob for International Surfing Day

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) has been selected as the official UK environmental partner for International Surfing Day (ISD) 2011. On Sunday, June 19, thousands of people will celebrate International Surfing Day all around the world. As part of this celebration of surfing, waves, oceans and beaches, SAS will be hosting various activities at the Goldcoast Oceanfest Surf & Music Festival in North Devon, and via its network of Regional reps right across the UK.
